GenAI Video Revolution

A few weeks ago, I’d mentioned the Tom Hanks and Robin Wright film, Here, using GenAI for de-aging its lead actors. In that email, I’d also said that GenAI tools for video content are yet to become mainstream — because OpenAI’s Sora is dragging its feet.
Well, I have good news!
Google Veo overtakes OpenAI’s Sora
Google’s AI video model, Veo, is now available for you to try (in private preview via Google Vertex! Based on the examples Google has shared, The Verge says, “without a keen eye, it’s extremely difficult to tell that the videos are AI-generated.”

Would you like to see what the fuss is about? Hit reply and I’ll show you some samples.
Until then, here’s how reality is evolving.
Two types of GenAI deployments
Researchers at MIT Center for Information Systems Research categorize GenAI into two types:
Broadly applicable tools for personal productivity
Tailored solutions for specific purposes
If you’re integrating Microsoft Copilot or ChatGPT into your workflows for tasks like summarizing documents or creating presentations, you’re using GenAI in its broadest sense. This is a low-hanging fruit that you must grab.
However, you might find greater value in applying GenAI more specifically. A great example from our experience is the global analytics leader using open source LLMs for data indexing. They leverage GenAI to accelerate a core business process, instantly empowering them to scale. That’s where the real competitive advantage is!
It’s the most wonderful time of the year
No, I’m not talking about the holidays (though that is wonderful). I mean that it’s the time of the year when everyone makes predictions about the future.
Jeff Clarke, the COO of Dell Tech, has written up his predictions. The one that resonates with me is: “AI agents will be everywhere — we will all be managers.” It’s perfectly in tune with how we think of GenAI implementations as well.
Here’s how we see it. In the next year:
Organizations will create agents for all repeatable tasks like the Middle Eastern events major did with Tune AI
AI will generate code, while engineering teams review, edit and deploy — dramatically boosting organizational composability
Multiple agents will work together on related tasks to multiply business value
We’re certainly excited for all that and more. What strikes your fancy?
Look forward to discussing this with you,
Best,
